How's this for a beautiful colour-drenched vision of a super sunny Renfield Street?
Site follower Bill Innes took this brilliant picture, looking north from the corner of Gordon Street, back in 1958.
We don't often get to see colour pictures of 'old' Glasgow, but this is a beauty.
Bill says: "The lack of private cars made jay-walking so much safer back then.
"Look at the people all dressed up to go up town, although the summer weather has tempted many men to leave their hats and bunnets at home.
"Some will remember the expensive outfitters RW Forsyth, on the left, with its window full of regimental and sports club ties - and the newsreel cinema, formerly Miss Cranston's 'Cinema Deluxe' - with its steady diet of cartoons."
Also noticeable are the number of canvas shop awnings and advertising signs.
